Fighting the Effects of Bad Journalism

In this article about the Boston Celtics, the Associated Press uses "affects" where they should use "effects." See the first sentence in this screen shot:

Thanks to my friend Tiff for alerting me to this error. You better be wearing a Celtics T-shirt in L.A. tonight, Tiffers! I hope to be dancing like Gino in the streets of Boston around midnight.

  2. GO CELTS!!! Evidently, the 'affects' didn't 'effect' them too much ;) I'm loving being a Boston fan in LA right now!!!

  3. Yeah, that was a complete trouncing last night! I stupidly decided to watch the game near the Garden and got stuck among all these riot police and crazy people.

  5. Yeah, the story appeared in several publications! I noticed that a few actually corrected the error from the wire story, but most kept the error in.
