Carving Into Irony
Sometimes there's just so much stupidity in the world that I can barely handle it. Case in point: this carving that someone is selling on etsy:

The creator of the sign knows those are mistakes. His biggest mistake is in thinking it is cute irony. (It's a quotation attributed to John Wayne, by the way.)
ReplyDeleteWell, I think the signmaker's "mistakes" were bad enough to announce themselves as sarcasm. It's OK I think to simultaneously make fun of stupid people and snobs (many of whom aren't as smart as they tell themselves).
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the typos were intentional to play off the 'stupid' part. Nah...I think it's just a dumb sign maker.
