Everything Must Go, Including Apostrophes

Intense depression as a result of their stores going out of business is the only explanation for this apostrophe catastrophe from Border's.


Thanks to Lance for sending in this catastrophe. It's fitting that I'm posting his submission today because I met him at a Halloween party last year when he was dressed as Kim Jong Il.

    A request: It's November. Holiday cards will be ordered and addressed soon. Can you create an entry addressing apostrophe abuse when attempting to pluralize proper names?

    Each year when get cards addressed to the Smith's or the Smiths', and I'd love to have a post to link to on Facebook that would be like a PSA (maybe also including a name ending in a vowel (e.g., the Obamas) and even "es" (e.g., the Torres family should be addressed as the Torreses). I thought about creating a post myself, but it would be catchier in a link and maybe could direct some traffic to you.
