Crab Parts and Mussels, Alive, Alive-o

Kaytee sent me this photo from the Pike Place Market in Seattle:

She captured two catastrophes in one photo -- the apostrophes in parts and mussels. Plus, we have an example of unnecessary quotation marks in this sign. My research tells me that mussels can stay alive on ice for up to two weeks, so, assuming these creatures are fresh, they probably are actually alive.

Thanks, Kaytee!

I LOVE unnecessary quotation marks. They instantly make whatever they are around seem sketchy.

I'm a little unnerved by *King Crab parts*. Which parts, exactly, do they sell you? Yikes!

Did you notice that the punctuation is in red whereas the main text is in black? I think someone with good grammar wrote the wording and then someone with bad grammar added the prices and incorrect punctuation. Maybe that second person's really good at maths, though, and the two of them work as a team.
