Unpatriotic Catastrophe

The lack of apostrophe on this t-shirt, which Jen spotted at Ocean State Job Lot, implies that the nation has fallen from its former glory.


Whoever made this t-shirt should be charged with treason.

It's sold on a humorous college t-shirt site. The missing apostrophe is intended as the t-shirt is implying that the US has fallen from grace.

I don't see any errors there. Back in the Bush era his opponents were saying the nation had become a joke. Now in the Obama era people are saying the nation's becoming a joke.

That seems to me more like something worn by a Bush era liberal or an Obama era conservative.
