Even Target Makes Mistakes

Dear Target,
Oh, how I love your low prices and bright colors that cause me to be unable to leave your stores without spending at least $50. So I was disappointed when I saw your sign that said "womens."

Women is already plural, so you can't add an "s" to it. I suggest either deleting the "s" or adding an apostrophe before it.

Sincerely,
Apostrophe Catastrophes

I worked in the clothing department at Target for 5 years and their signage used to drive me crazy. Not just the large signs, but the signs that were printed weekly in the store for "Girl's Pant's" or "Jean's" that topped the racks. I brought the signage issue to every new Exec's attention and invariably got the eyeroll, but I felt strongly that we should be able to fix the errors. Apparently, they weren't glaring enough to others.

Thanks for trying to get Target to change their ways, Krys!
