Comcast on Crack

I was flipping back and forth between the Red Sox and Celtics games on Sunday afternoon when I noticed that my TV was telling me that I was watching Tampa Bay vs. Cincinnati.

I'm pretty sure those two teams never play each other except during spring training. Plus, the Sox game was on NESN, which stands for New England Sports Network. NESN broadcasts games featuring the Red Sox, Bruins, and other New England teams. A Tampa Bay vs. Cincinnati match-up would never be shown on NESN. The two teams (Boston and Tampa Bay) were listed correctly at the top of the screen, but the info at the bottom was bizarrely wrong. I know that this error has nothing to do with punctuation, but I'm temporarily expanding this blog's focus to include it.

Go Reds! Um... I mean... Red SOX.

Thanks for the comment, Melissa! I appreciate the stellar customer service! I've generally had good experiences with Comcast customer service people. But if you could lower my cable bill, that would be great! ;)

It's refreshing to see such fantastic service from Comcast. That being the case; it is important to note that Comcast has no control over what the guide displays. This feed comes directly from TV Guide. This complaint would have been better directed towards them.

Good to know, Anonymous. I'm not complaining about the guide, though. I thought it was funny, and it gave me fodder for my blog!

It appears to me that there is no error here and they were just advertising another game that was coming up.

I was there to watch this show live which has been more exciting than to watch on TV. It sure is good thing to enjoy when you are having some of the best shows going near to your place.
