What a Lucky Kid!

One of the things I miss about my old job is that my office was located next to a fantastic supermarket. I was in the area the other day, so I stopped by to pick up some groceries. I was walking around feeling nostalgic when I noticed a catastrophe!

You can see two signs for kid's juice in the above photo. Unless only one child shops at that Star Market, those apostrophes are in the wrong place.

Wow! Thanks for reading my blog. In naming the entry I had no idea there was an entire blog with the same name! I hope you don't mind that I coincidentally named my entry that. Incidentally, I changed the misused quotation, as I thought it confusing to put it in the example, so if you feel like looking again, see if you can find it!

It's all good. I thought I had coined the phrase a couple of years ago, but there are a lot of places where it's used if you Google it.

Ah, but the Oxford English Dictionary gives 'mother's day' and there's more than one mother involved there, I'm sure.

See http://apostrophecatastrophes.blogspot.com/2008/05/mothers-day-mothers-day-or-mothers-day.html for the reason behind that.
